About Us

A little about us (or just me, for the most part)...

My name is Meredith Fenwick and I am a stay-at-home-mom turned graphic designer turned jewelry maker.  After my first son was born and I decided to stay home with him, I still wanted to be able to work.  With a professional past as a video editor at ESPN, graphic design seemed a like a great way to build new skills on old skills.  I started designing digital scrapbooking products and eventually paper as well.

After four years of mainly designing and working on the computer, I needed to do something with my hands.  I have always loved jewelry - from the time I was little and had those little plastic dangly earrings that would be so painful on your earlobes, but you just had to wear them because they were so cool.  I wanted to open an Etsy shop and jewelry seemed like a fun idea so I went to A.C. Moore and the local bead shop and loaded up on supplies.

As it turns out, getting a jewelry business on Etsy is quite a challenge.  I loved making gemstone jewelry but I never felt like I could really stand out from the crowd and put my own stamp it, as it were.  Then I discovered Metal Clay.  Precious Metal Clay is a clay that is made of silver and organic binder that once it is dried and fired is fine silver.

As a matter of accident while trying to be a bit different, I figured out how to combine my graphic design skills with the metal clay jewelry ideas that I had by designing my own stamps.  In doing this I've found my passion, making gorgeous jewelry for you that will be a keepsake that you can wear every day to keep your loved ones close to your heart.
